And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
“Loki.”
Her steps intensified when she closed the door. Loki exhaled the air in his chest calmly, turning his eyes up for a moment, seeing the starless night over him. The weak lamp suspended on the white ceiling twinkled a bit, and some straightened clothes were over the bed.
“Good evening, Lady (y/n). What brings you here?”
“Why?”
The God threw his body to the left and stared at (y/n) as she walked quietly in his direction, each pace resembling a threat.
“Unfortunately, I can’t say I am the best with your riddles.”
Although some inches separated the two of you, it seemed like there was an invisible barrier between both. Your fingers involuntarily stretched, and your right hand’s furious palm slapped Loki’s left cheek. The echo formed by the hit deepened with the following deadly silence.
“You know exactly what I am talking about.”
Loki placed his hand over the burned skin, mumbling something under his breath, expecting for an explanation. You merely stood in front of him.
“Who told you?”
His voice was dark. His tone was mistakable — It was hard and strong, yet some weakness timidly showed up between the syllables.
“Why are you leaving, Loki?”
“None of your business.”
“The hell this is not my business!”
You tried to move your hand again, but The God put his long fingers over your chin, pressing the soft skin and stopping you from slapping him. Small teardrops dripped from your eyes, running across your face and eventually meeting the white fabric from your jacket or Loki’s hands. He did not seem to care, anyway – Only approached and stared your (e/c) eyes.
“I will ask you again” – He whispered – “Who told you?”
“I heard you talking to Fury.”
Even though it was difficult to speak, (y/n) did not low her head, drowning on the ocean blue eyes ahead of her gaze.
“Now answer mine.”
Loki opened his mouth to answer, but closed shortly after with a serious expression over his appearance. He let go of your face, leaving some finger marks by the delicate surface. He calmly walked until reach the window, supporting his body over the windowsill and glancing the whole city. Some of the raven hair fell over his profile, covering his anguish expression.
You are the closest to heaven
That I’ll ever be
“Why won’t you answer me?”
You could not raise your weak voice to more than a lament. Loki moved before you were able to reach him, walking in a full circle across the room, stopping next to a small nightstand.
“Can’t you see I am different from them, (y/n)?”
His fingers hugged a small bronze goblet over the table.
“This is not my place.”
“Loki, give them a chance…”
“Foolishness!”
It was the first time Loki yelled at you. He threw the cup furiously on the ground, spilling the cold liquid inside it over the green carpet. The bowl jumped twice, than rolled all the way until your feet, slowly hitting your sneakers. You took the cup into your hands just as he’d done seconds before, and walked over the spattered fluid, making low noises with your shoes, placing it back on the original position.
“You are a liar.”
Loki stared at you, wrinkling his forehead, in a midst of confusion and worry.
“Was I foolish for believing the God of Mischief himself?”
You covered your mouth with the right hand, containing the repeated sobs coming up and down from your throat.
“(Y/n)…”
“Don’t you dare to face me!”
You did not see his expression; neither if he walked after you, or tried at least to hold your arm - just ran away, exiting the room and slamming the door behind you.
And I don’t want to go home right now
It was easy getting lost on the dark aisle of the Avenger’s Tower, even more after having a discussion with Loki. You walked from one side to another, still wiping some left tears, trying to find an easy way back to your room. Sometimes, you stopped after identifying crowded corridors, changing the route and avoiding to be seen.
As you approached the chamber, a shadow abruptly hit his shoulder against yours, unbalancing your body.
“Be careful, (y/n)!”
You quickly pressed your hands on the wall, counterbalancing yourself and averting a fall.
“It wouldn’t have happened if you had watched your step, Tony.”
Under the shimmering light coming from the window by the end of the hallway, Tony’s face slowly brightened up in the middle of darkness. He took off his headphones and gazed at you – Better saying, at your humid eyes.
“My eyes deceive me, or is Lady Killer crying because of The Charlatan God?”
“None of your business pal.”
“The hell this is not my business!”
In any other day, you would have supported the teasing. Tony often bothered you and mimicked your voice. Probably on a common evening, you would have laughed and gently knocked his left shoulder, leaving shortly after.
But not that day.
Clenching your fist and stepping closer, you strongly hit the Iron Man’s chin, maybe a little harder then planned. He lost his balance for a moment, pressing his back against the cold wall behind him, and waiting for dizziness to stop.
“What the fuck was that, (y/n)? I don’t care about your stupid boyfriend, is that clear?”
“Just go the hell away”, you said, impatiently turning and walking to your bedroom.
And all I can taste is this moment
Alone.
Your chamber seemed somewhat darker and sadder. You took off the white jacket, throwing it on the top of an armchair, wearing only a black tank top over your torso, and dragging your feet on the floor until reach the bed.
Perhaps immersing your head on the soft pillow and suffocating your screams wasn’t something an Avenger would have done. Your hair was pressed against your face, your sobs muffled by the feathers from the headrest. A tiny pain crossed your heart like a hit, and grew stronger after each tear.
From the opposite corner of the room, you heard a low noise coming from the door opening. Great, it was unlocked. Someone slightly turned the doorknob and crossed the borderline between your pain and the rest of the world. Calm and collected paces extended over the air – The same footsteps you knew excessively well.
“Go away, Loki.”
And all I can breathe is your life
The man said nothing; Instead, he walked around the room and crawled into (y/n)’s double bed, resting his back over a soft nearby pillow and crossing his legs over the mattress.
“When you exited my room, you said I shouldn’t face you, which I am not. There were no articles saying I couldn’t enter here.”
Touché.
“You don’t have to turn your gaze to me, Lady. I only wish to talk to you.”
You rolled over the bed until feeling your back on the soft mattress, the (e/c) eyes shut and covered with both hands.
“Do you remember the first time we spoke?”
Loki kindly placed his right hand on her (h/c) hair, gingerly curling some loose strands on the extension of his long fingers.
“I can’t say I do” – you lied, feeling your throat dry and the voice cracked.
“But I do” – it was probably an impression, but seemed like he had just smiled – “From all people residing in this Tower, you were the only one who really talked to me. Moreover, while everybody else averted looking, you stared directly into my eyes, fearless.”
And sooner or later it’s over
Your heart skipped a beat. The first time you spoke with Loki replayed on your mind. Such a banal conversation; you just asked him when the next mission would be settled and if he was managing well the new routine. By that time, The God wore his army clothes, consisted of a long-sleeved black shirt matching with the trousers, and a dark green overcoat. That day, he still dressed the same pantaloons, but changed the torso clothing for a social shirt.
“Are you going back to Asgard, Loki?”
“My crimes were committed on Midgard, (y/n). I can’t dare to leave.”
“Where do you plan going?”
“Somewhere I belong.”
I just don’t want to miss you tonight
“Why can’t I go with you?”
Some tears streamed again from your sealed eyes, and a few sobs emerged up from your neck. Loki’s soft fingers stroke the silky skin of your arm, each move making you shiver from tip to toe.
“You have a future here. I don’t want you to take risks because of me.”
You sat on the bed, turning to the opposite side of Loki, dragging your legs out from the mattress. Your arms crossed your chest, and you placed the hands over both shoulders, like in a hug.
“I don’t want you to leave, Loki.”
Those words stabbed like him like a sword. Never in the whole world and above had he thought someone would say this sentence to him. Her sweet voice still echoed inside his head.
“I beg your pardon?”
And I don’t want the world to see me
Cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything is made to be broken,
I just want you to know who I am
“I don’t want you to leave, Loki” – She repeated, tightening her arms around the bust – “I will miss you.”
“(y/n), you don’t know what you are saying.”
He sat over both legs, throwing his weight over the feet, quietly putting his hands above hers and pulling (y/n) closer. Her head slowly hit his lap, yet she did not open her eyes.
“Open your eyes, (y/n).”
You shook your head.
“Face me.”
“I will only do it when you say those three words…”
“I love you.”
Your eyes widened, and you felt your heart mismatch from your breathing. Those weren’t exactly the words you hoped listening. In fact, the three ones he had just pronounced were a lot better. You wanted to take them into your hands, not letting the letters slip from your fingers, and lock them inside your chest for the whole eternity, not allowing them to dissipate into the distance. His face showed an outline of a triumphant smile, like if he had just achieved what he hoped.
“You won’t miss me, I am sure.”
“Prove me wrong.”
The sentence danced on your tongue and slipped from your mouth, sounding challenging. You crossed your arms over your tummy, while Loki seriously looked into your eyes.
“I am deadly.”
“What about it?”
“I tried to kill people.”
“Loki, this happened two years ago.”
“I can try to kill you.”
And you can’t fight the tears that ain’t coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
Her indifference somehow managed to surprise Loki; she was completely dauntless.
The girl unexpectedly whirled over the bed, quickly supporting the body over the right arm, sliding her legs over the mattress and standing on the same position as Loki, right in front of him.
You quietly held his ebony bang, which slightly covered one of his eyes, and put it behind his left ear. His eyes eventually met hers – Those sky blue eyes you never wanted to stop staring. His mouth slowly curled up into a smile, brightening up the ivory skin.
Her fingers slipped on his shoulder, rustling on the green fabric from the shirt and traveling throughout his arm until reaching his cozy palm. Loki interlocked his fingers on hers, and she pulled his hand closer, placing the upper part of his wrist on the middle of her breast. The God felt his face burn when felt her fast heartbeat under the slim blouse.
“This is the place you belong.”
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you bleed just to know you are alive
Loki let go of you, quickly drawing his palms to your face, tenderly cupping your cheeks. Your choppers went on fire when he pulled you closer and planted a kiss over your lips, melting your whole body. His fingers promptly rushed under the bodice in expectation of touching your bristly skin, rubbing your back, shortening the distance between the two bodies. You felt your chest skim on the buttons from his shirt as the man intensified the kiss.
The first time you kissed repeated on his mind. It was a warm spring dusk, the cold wind gently caressed your skin and some stars made their way to the sky under the cloak of night. Loki stood on the main balcony at the Avenger’s Tower, suspending his torso on the railing and turning his gaze from the traffic down on the street to the twilight above his head. (Y/n) inaudibly drew near, touching his shoulder and whispering a “hi”. Although his expression didn’t change, Loki felt a lot happier with her presence. They spoke for some hours, with some long periods of awkward silence between them.
“I’ll return to my room. Good night, Loki.”
The God bowed and stared the ground, waiting for (y/n) to be gone. However, when he lifted his head, she was in front of him, smiling. The lady placed her hands over his shoulders, supporting the body on her tiptoes, softly pressing her lips against his.
Her cheeks acquired a strong shade of red as she slowly retreated, murmuring “good night” and sprinting back to her chamber. Loki remained silent, feeling the legs chitter and his heart leap inside the thin chest.
“Perhaps this is what humans call love” – He sighed, putting two fingers on the just kissed surface, hoping to lock the sweet taste in his mouth forever and resisting the temptation on running after her, pulling her to another kiss. Deep inside he knew she wasn’t meant for him – Or better, he was not suitable to such girl.
Loki anxiously let go of your lips and ran his mouth over your skin all the way to your neck, kissing it slowly. You hummed, feeling his breath above your collarbone, your hands slipping atop his back, the slender fingers incoming his brunet hair.
“You are so beautiful, (y/n).”
His words let you delighted. For some time, seemed like there were no defects, scars or wounds above your skin. With a single touch, he could heal all your injuries, dry your tears and make you feel the most beautiful person in the world.
In his arms, you were flawless.
And I don’t want the world to see me
Cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything is made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
The world was falling apart.
He grips you tighter.
It would be terrible supporting the mocking if the two of you decided to stay together.
His hands found the hook from your brassiere.
Nobody would accept you.
He lays you on the mattress and projects his body over yours, his hands traveling through your whole body while you unbuttoned his blouse.
How are you supposed to be happy in the midst of the storm?
He whispers your name with a heavy and breathy voice.
I just want you to know who I am
You are now one.
Loki fell right beside you over the bed, resting his head on a soft pillow, and you snuggled into his bare chest, feeling his accelerated breathing on your cheek.
“Loki?”
“Yes?”
“If you dare to leave without telling me, I’ll chase you until hell freezes over.”
He let a short smile slip from his mouth.
“I won’t go anywhere without you, (y/n).”
I just want you to know who I am
“Do you want to run away?”
Both stood in silence for some time. Only the sounds of heavy breathing could be listened. From outside the window, dawn slowly acquired golden shades, the hue of a new day showing from behind the town buildings alongside the Tower.
Loki held one of her hands and squeezed it. He gently placed your small palm over his thorax, the lukewarm skin filling your fingers with warmness.
“You belong… Right here.”
A smile crossed your face, and you passed your arms around his belly, feeling your naked breast brush against his.
I just want you to know who I am
You didn’t care for the future.
Under the break of dawn, in Loki's arms, you found what you were looking for.
You found supreme happiness.
And I'd give up forever to touch you

Petty Epilogue [Loki | Midgardian! Reader]
The alarm clock sounded through the apartment. A hand reached out and slapped it to the floor, the person it was attached to letting out a groan right after - it was an accident, not so much as an aggressive gesture. And now your arm hurt. You didn't even put effort into leaning over the edge of the bed to check the damage you'd dealt to the alarm clock - you knew it was an unbreakable entity, so it would be good to go the next day too.
Your eyes fluttered open and stared into the ceiling of your apartment. It was rather bland. Maybe you could paint it in a better colour one of these days - maybe green. Or not. Your vision was hazy and your

Loki X Reader- Faith In Humanity
Loki was walking around late at night. He had been cooped up, and needed to have a walk. The All Father and his brother, Thor, had both decided that as punishment for trying to destroy Midgard, he had to spend a year on earth, fighting evil. All of the Avengers, except Thor, had been against the idea. 'He could start another war!' Steve had exclaimed, several of the others nodding their heads in agreement. 'Even if we do allow him, which we aren't going to, the public aren't going to let this slide. Because of him hundreds of people are dead!' Bruce had pointed out. Although they had all been against it, Loki had somehow managed to become par

“Like what?” You ask, still dragging him behind you.
“Like conquering the world!” He yells, mischievously.
“You can do that anyday,” you reply.
Yeah, but I can also watch Supernatural with you any day.” He whines as you open the door of the home theater.
“Yeah, but you can’t can’t watch the season premiere of Supernatural anyday.”
“Yes you can.” He says, sitting in his seat.
“That is an unspeakable crime!” You yell, overdramatic.

Remember when I posted my Tony's fanfic? I said I was pretty nervous right? Well, now I'm certainly more xD
I was talking the other day to my friend about Loki and how complex he really is. I put extra effort into this fanfic... I hope I could manage fine. And I really, really hope everybody enjoy!!
The first time I listened to Iris was two years ago, at my English class, for vocabulary training. I fell in love so much that I never forgot~ And it applied so well to Loki!

Loki does not belong to me.
You belong to you!
I don't own anything except the writing. Please credit me!
